The Traffic Enforcement Unit of the West Seneca Police Department consists of one Patrol Lieutenant and five Police Officers.  In addition to their regular daily patrol functions these officers respond on call to all serious injury and fatal car accidents.  The officers in this unit are trained by New York State and Erie County Central Police Services in the latest investigative techniques to allow them to determine the causes of these accidents.

      Any member of the West Seneca Police Department can be assigned to traffic enforcement as part of their regular daily duties.  The Traffic Enforcement Unit is assigned on a regular basis to specific traffic problems areas in our town.  Officers will enforce all the sections of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law and Federal Codes for Commercial Traffic Enforcement.  The officers work closely with other agencies in Safety Road Checks, DWI Sobriety Check Points and many other traffic related functions.  For a closer look at some of the aspects of traffic enforcement please utilize the links below.
